Project Tiger completed 50 years

The Tiger Project was started on April 1, 1973, to save tigers and protect this vary rare species of tiger, Royal Bengal tiger, the most endangered of the tiger species. And as of right now, the endeavor was such a success that tigers are multiplying daily. We learn about the significance of these animals in our lives through the Project Tiger; in the interim, the Indian government engages directly with the natural world wild life to preserve biodiversity and improve its quality of life. Project Tiger has now been running for 50 years, and the increase in tigers is obviously visible.

Animals were once hunted for sport and glory, since we know about the importance of wildlife now that we are all linked to one another either directly or indirectly, protecting one another must come first at all costs. In 1973, the prime minister made the decision to take action to reverse tiger with the ‘Project Tiger’ in order to maintain the eco-system's delicate equilibrium.

India is home to 70% of the world's tigers. To protect tigers, 55 tiger reserve regions have been established in India in various Tiger Reserve site.
