Elephant Safari Resume In Corbett Tiger Reserve

                    The majestic comeback: Elephant Safaris returns to Corbett Tiger Reserve


The wait is finally over; experience the majestic comeback of the elephant safaris at the Corbett Tiger reserve once again after seven long years. The elephant safari which had been suspended for many long years is finally resuming after an issue passed by the Chief Wildlife Warden Ranjan Kumar Mishra.

Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve is one of the most celebrated national parks of India world renowned for its rich biodiversity, Royal Bengal tigers and enthralling jungle safari. With the revival of the elephant safari; these safaris will set to elevate the excitement of the Indian and Foreign tourists alike.
The safari will be in full operational from December onwards after all the preparation and formalities. The cost for the safari will be Rs 1000/person for Indian tourist and Rs 3000 for foreigners, with a maximum of five person including children. Children below five years will be exempted from ticket prices.  The duration of the safari will be 2 hours in both morning and evening shifts.
Tourists can enjoy the safari at the Dhikala and Bijrani Zone of the Corbett Tiger Reserve and the Cheela range of the Rajaji Tiger Reserve. These zones are the most sought-after areas in the Corbett; wherein the tourists can enjoy the wildlife in their natural habitat and get an insight of wildlife activities.

According the wildlife enthusiasts, the experience of riding on the back of the mammoth animal is simply unmatched. With these kinds of safari options, the tourists can enjoy the noise free, unobstructed, and serene view of the grassland and the narrow passages of the forests which they somehow miss on the vehicle-based exploration.
With the revival of the elephant safari in the Jim Corbett National Park, it has given good boost to the rural community, guides, mahouts; that will strengthen the local economy.
