On the occasion of International Day of Forest, State Forest Minister Harak Singh Rawat in the presence of Honourable Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, announced that 50 Female Gypsy Drivers and 50 Female Nature Guides will be assigned by the Forest Department after providing them proper training.
He stated, ‘Local villagers are the first preference of the forest department as they are experienced and emotionally attached to the National Park’.
While marking the International Day of Forest CM Rawat said, ‘Our main focus is to provide employment to the women of hills for better livelihood’.
He added that these women are not just saviours but holds traditional value in protecting the forests and suppress Human-Wildlife Conflicts.
