As part of Corbett's 2020 plan, the Garjiya zone is set to reopen for tourism, but the "National Tiger Conservation Authority" (NTCA) hasn't truly given the green signal to go-ahead because they believe activities there disrupt the local animals and violate the system.
The debate over whether to open Garjiya after it was incorporated into Jim Corbett was present from the beginning.
In parallel, the approval for the Bijrani and Dhikala zone night stays received the all-clear. The director of the Corbett Tiger Reserve, Dheeraj Pandey, declared that all of these accommodations would open on the scheduled date even though it had been stated that the damaged roads would be repaired for tourists. As the corresponding zones are the most well-known Corbett zones and the night stay facilities are one of the key attractions, the necessary arrangements will be in place before the peak season begins.
